The energy sector is a compulsory field of reference for the scientific and research community. The quest for alternative systems; the fear that certain natural resources will run out; the need to build a sustainable energy system that will not compromise the survival of future generations – these are some of the aspects that move institutions and private bodies to promote and maintain an attitude that is open to knowledge.

Saretek, the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network, has gathered together prestigious, international scientists and experts who, among other things, will be showing us the new technologies used for generating energy and for substituting petroleum-based products in the automotive sector.

The aim of the International Conference “21st Century Energy Technology” is to provide an overall view of the current and future situation of the energy sector on an International, European and Basque level.
